preformatted code gets mangled

Hi,

I am finding that preformatted code in the content section is getting totally mangled. I'm not sure if this is a bug in HTMLArea or phpmyfaq, although i suspect it is the later as HTMLArea seems to support switching back and forth from code view without problems, it is just when i submit the data it gets mangled when i try and edit it.

any ideas?

ok. the entry contains the following which is correct:

<pre><H1>dsafdasf</h1><br /></pre>

However when i go to edit it, it gets converted to the following:

<pre><h1>dsafdasf</h1><br /></pre>

this is the problem.
