Found problem and fixed but.
faq_data_group was not populated.

Would appear now when I make a new open FAQ pouplated correctly.

If I add a new FAQ to stricted group also going into table now , but if change an existing one from open access to resticted group stays open access in this table.

Backed to square one on this.

Changed access level from basic to medium - that let the group see the faq required by the group login but now general public cannot see rest of FAQ'S marked as "access all users".

Got it working did not have permission level set to medium - needs better explanation in setup 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

user has an id of 2
faqdata table -
faq in question has an id of 25

faqdata_user table
record_id 25 = user_id 2

faqcategories table
On Line Venue Hire - id =2
Venue Hire Admin - category_id 5 , parent id 2

faqcategory_user table
category_id 5 = user_id 2

Yes I can look at the database.

Tried that still the same.

I am using version 2.8.1
User has no rights settings

Have created a FAQ with access to one login - user name but when they login they cannot see it. - is active
