Is language_ja.php broken?

Post by hiroshi »

Hello,

I installed latest version phpMyFAQ 2.0.0. I could read the pages in English but most of the characters were broken in Japanese language. See the following screenshot: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id ... 519&size=o

I have been checking the causes of garbled characters and I found that Japanese character in lang/language_ja.php was also broken. See the following screenshot: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id ... 529&size=o

Maybe it seems that this file is encoded by UTF-8, but I couldn't read correctly when I specified utf-8 encoding.

Is this file broken or encoded incorrectly? Or Do I mistake phpMyFAQ configuration?

Best Regards,

Hi,

yes, it seems the Japanese language file is broken. We'll fix this in 2.0.1.

Hello Thorsten,

Thank you for your reply!

I checked the behaviour by using older version language_ja.php and it worked correctly.

I'll wait for next release.

Thanks,

Hi,

This seem to be unnecessary though I made a Japanese file of 2.0.0?

The file has been opened to the public here.
http://ftp.momo-i.org/pub/other/language_ja.2.0.0.txt

I think that there is a rough translation because I am weak at
English.
Please disregard it when it is unnecessary.

Thanks.
