translating the questions in the admin side

I am probably missing a link that stares me in the face, but i cannot see how to translate an existing faq into another language.

for example, i enter an faq in english, then saved it, when i re edit it and choose to save it as dutch, it still appears in the list of english FAQs, or am i understanding how it is structured incorrectly? it appears to be flagged as dutch in the listings but still listed in the english questions.

I thin tried the other way i could see, which is from the user end of the site, where you hit the {msgtranslate} tab and it offers the user a chance to send in a translation so i did a french one. it seems to have vanished into the internet, or something

i have had a look in the support docs, and there isn't really a guide. Perhaps someone can help me out a little and steer me in the right direction.

Hi,

your way is correct by re-editing an existent FAQ and saving it with a different language. Which version do you use, maybe there's a bug.

I ma using version 2.7.6, i will have another go and let you know if the problem occurs again

ok so it seems to be working ok at the moment.

Can you maybe clarify these points.

does the admin side show all questions and all language variations? Example, i have 2 questions in english, translate both to french, now i have 4 questions in total and they it shows 4 questions in total in both french or english admin.

does the search look in the language which is the current language? or does it search all entries, and ignore language as really if the user enters french, it will only get hits in french faq?

Hi,

it shows 4 FAQs in total. The search is always in the current selected language, you can search in all languages in the advanced search page.
