I was just wondering where to access the admin menu. On the older version i would click my name and the drop down would say "control panel" or something like that. i cant remember. Now to get to the configuration i have to select and article and choose edit to see the admin menu. Has this been moved possibly?

Hi,
then your user has no permissions to use the admin backend. You can try to login via /admin, too. But if the link to the administration is missing, you don't have rights to use any admin features.

I tried the /admin and i was able to get in. I checked the user account and it has all check marks enabled.

Hi,
looks good. For further investigations I would need a database dump of your FAQ. Would that be possible?
