change search limit of 4 characters

Is there a way to change this limitation? So I can do a search for words of 3 characters?
Same with caps...

And if this problem is related to mySQL, would it help if I use MS SQL instead?

Hi,

this is a MySQL problem but we implemented a workaround in 1.5. If you're running MySQL 4.0 or later you can use three characters by changing the MySQL config.
