Red "Delete" trashcan not working.

Post by IMS Media Production »

Hallo!
I have a couple of test questions which I would like to delete to tidy up my FAQs. But when I click on the red trash button in the admin, the entries don't go away.
Am I doing something wrong? It would be great to get some help please! (I'm using version 2.8.0)
Thanks!

Hi Thorsten,

Thanks for the quick reply!

We are very impressed with the phpMyFAQ. Great work!

I'm a bit worried about updating to the latest version as I've done a lot of tweaking to the CSS and .tpl files (after making a backup), and I don't want to start over again if updating means that I lose all my changes. Kind of like "If it's not broken, don't fix it."!
Plus I have the added problem that I have a mirror of my FAQs on my local testing server (WAMP).

Is there maybe an "Updating phpMyFAQ for Dummies" PDF, or other info, somewhere?
If its going to be a hassle, it might be easier for us to go into the database through phpMyAdmin and delete the entries by hand.

Best wishes
Douglas

Hi,

here is our update documentation: http://www.phpmyfaq.de/documentation.2.8.en.php#3.4

If you have changes in your CSS code, please rename your template folder and then it won't be overwritten.

Hi Thorsten,

Thanks for the info. We have installed phpMyAdmin on our remote server and connected it to the DB. I could then delete the unwanted entries.
The phpMyFaq version we are using seems to be very stable and performs the tasks we need perfectly - so we'll probably not update at the moment.
Once again, thanks for the help ... and keep up the good work!
