install phpMyFAQ on localhost - need help

Hello,

I tried to install it on my localhost. I have AMP in windows, they work together well. I also installed myPHPAdmin.

I thought I put eveything right but I got a message after pressing the Install button, see below.

"It seems you already running a version of phpMyFAQ.
Please use the update script."

When I clicked the update script, I got a blank page.

I unzipped it and copied it into htdocs\faq.

I did create a database in mySQL, put "pp" as the table prefix, I have http://localhost/ in SQL server. I create a password for admin, and put my real name and email address into the fields.

Could someone help me?

How could I reinstall it?

Hi,

this error message appears when there's a config.php and/or a data.php file in the folder inc/.

Please start a really fresh installation.

Do I need to uninstall MySQL and PHP? I am afraid I want to unistall both.

I removed the data file, for sql server host, it took IP address but not localhost.
