Ok, have got it working again .... Phew!

i would like to update it to the latest version, however, can I do so without using the GoDaddy app update feature? I have ftp access and mysql management access.

(is there a db table that indicates which version?)

Just tried ..../install/setup.php was advised to run update

I have been using the standard install of phpMyFAQ on our Godaddy hosting account for nearly 2 years without any issues.

last week the app stopped working, now we just get white screens that contain the following (when going to the admin or the main index.php url)
