Is there some way of listing comments in the system *without* having to go to the database itself and doing a SELECT to find out which topics have comments added to them?

Hi,

you can see the comments in the record list in the admin backend, but we do not have a feature for displaying all comments. but we're working on that.

Perfect, that was what I was looking for ... only suggestion, for readability, add a column to the front that shows # of comments, instead of the (2 Comments) at the end of the 'entry subject' ... would make it easier to read, and, at least for me, negate teh requirement to have a seperate admin section foro 'comments' ...
