Multilingual faq

Post by glue »

Hi, I've just upgraded to phpmygaq 1.6.0 and still finds it difficult to use a multilingual faq with it. Here are some suggestions, the later being the one I expect the more.
  • When an admin wants to edit a category, it should be possible to see all the languages and names that category is already available in: as a list or something, with the ability to edit the name or erase it in a language.
  • I still wish that the category only displays the entries once in the current language, and not at all for the other languages. (if one starts a 10 languages faq, a single question is displayed 10 times! It makes it quite hard to read for the users, especialy if they know nothing about the 9 foreign languages). I already suggested something about that some months ago, see viewtopic.php?t=1534&start=12. Would it be possible to easily edit the current display function to do something similar?

you're right, there's a lot to do for better multilanguage FAQs in the admin backend.

We started with the new backend code with 1.6 and we hope to make this also much more better with the upcoming 2.0. The problem is that we have to handle big multi-dimensional trees with multilinigual FAQs....
