I just updated from 1.61 to 1.62. CAPTCHA is required (will not accept without it) and I am not sure where I turned that on or if it can be turned off and on. On is fine with me and I appreciate it being there.
I replaced all the template files that a change was indicated with the 1.62 version of those files. All the other files were replaced except the two in inc. I ran the install and indicated that I was upgrading from 16X and everything went fine.
The bug is when the CAPTCHA is not entered I get a message about the other required feilds but nothing on CAPTCHA. It is rejected with all the other fields filled only the CAPTCH empty. Accepted fine with CAPTCHA filled.
When going back to the form to add the missing required content all the fields on the form are empty. Not sure if you have worked on this issue or plan to? I know that is not a simple thing to do.
There is nothing at the CAPTCHA box to indicate what should be done. Example: Insert text in the picture here.
I also wonder, how many of the general public know what CAPTCHA means or how to use it without some direction?

Re: CAPTCHA Required Message
Hi david_de,
If of any help, in the italian language file, as you could see, I put an HTML anchor to Wikipedia. Unfortunately I currently receive no feedback about this simple, but IMHO nice, small tip so I do not backport it to EN yet.david_de wrote:I also wonder, how many of the general public know what CAPTCHA means or how to use it without some direction?

Hi Matteo,
This is a good idea. Nice way to make the info available to anyone that wants or needs it but not clutter the form.matteo wrote: If of any help, in the italian language file, as you could see, I put an HTML anchor to Wikipedia. Just commited into CVS, both for PMF 1.6.3+ and 2.0.x
Hi davide_de,
I've just backported this simple Captcha->Wikipedia reference into the lang/language_en.php file.

Hi Matteo,
That should help to avoid confusion if the person does not know what Captch is. Not only can they send the information they get a learning experience.
Now all we need is a Braille captcha.
Thank you it works very well.matteo wrote:I've just backported this simple Captcha->Wikipedia reference into the lang/language_en.php file.
