[Bug] Traditional Chinese file is incorrectly saved

Post by whisky »

I am installing the 1.6.10 and if I select the language to Traditional Chinese, the display is mostly messup, because the language file is not saved to UTF-8 as required by the language charset.

I dont know if you can just convert the charset to UTF-8 from the original translation file? or should the translation be re-do ?

Hi,

Mr Thorsten, I do speak Taiwanese Mandarin (well.. I mean traditioanl chinese - but this is a incorrect word to name the language)

I am trying to make a new translation and then I found out that there are on the net, a correct version of translation for phpMyFAQ ver. 1.6.3/1.6.4. And I have no idea why they didnt report the bug here (as I can see, the bug is already there for those releases).

Anyway, I will fix the language file and then send it to you.

and one more thing, since there are many variants in "chinese", I will suggest you to change the name "Chinese (Traditional)" to "Chinese (Taiwan)" (because this will be a taiwanese version, and I know ppl from HK and othere area/countries using also traditional chinese as their script - not language - have a different "traditional chinese" as language)

Tks...
