Hello,
I've just installed phpMyFAQ 2.0.12 on my Linux system and have been trying it out. The main problem so far is that when I insert a link to an off-site page, everything is fine. But when I insert a link to something on my own site, my absolute URL is converted to a relative URL for me (even though I do not wish it) and the page cannot be found.
In other words, "http://mydomain/document.html" gets converted to "../document.html" and even though the document DOES live at this relative address, I always get a Page Not Found error.
I searched for a solution to this in the forums but didn't find it. Please forgive me if the issue has already been discussed.
Thanks for your help,
Kitty
P.S. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I installed phpMyFAQ 2.0.12 in http://mydomain/faq/

Just an update, the link does not work in my Admin preview, but it does work in the actual FAQ.

Hi,
so, only the link in the preview is wrong?

Re: Absolute URL converted to relative, then doesn't work
That's correct. The URL to which the preview sends me is:
http://mydomain/faq/document
And of course the document is not in the faq sub-directory. However, the link works correctly in the actual published FAQ entry.
Upon further testing, a link to a file I've placed in a sub-directory such as /pdf comes out like this in the preview:
http://mydomain/faq/pdf/document
And it comes out like this in the Automatic Link Verification Results:
http://artsedresearch.org/faq/admin/://pdf/document
But again, all works correctly in the public entry, so I can live with it.
thanks,
Kitty
