question editing problem

situation:
ask a question is proposed,
question needs to be edited,
i open question for editing and i have two problems:
1) the original authors name and email is replaced with mine (admin)
2) after i edit the question and save, then click on "Open Questions" nothing had changed

to fix i have to delete the question and create a new one under the submitters name and email

is this normal?

I found this strange also.

The "Author" of the FAQ is usually the person who supplied the answer. (not the question)

After you edit the question and save it - It is added to the FAQ database as a record that needs approval. The original Open Question stays there - as other people can also respond.

The admin can then go into the admin section and approve the answer you want. Deleting not required responses and the original question.
