Meta Tag - Search Engine Optimisation

Post by LakeView »

Is it possible to have META TAGS different for each question.

Ex. Q1 - What is a cow?
Meta Keyword="cow, animal,..."
Meta Description=" Def of a cow"

Actually Meta could actually be the categories + keywords.

Does that work in any way?

Thank you

Hi,

we already support meta tags for each record. We could extend that for categories and the meta description as well but which search engine uses these meta informations?

It is used against duplicated content.
So when you have a layout like in phpmyfaq - there are many sites familar.
With different Meta Tags you can solve this problems of duplicated content.

@thorsten
i send you my solution for 1.5.7 ;-)

best regards.

This is really pretty important and one I'm being asked about by clients to resolve. Page description is pretty darn important to SEO pages, it's also important to search results page listing. Right now every page description reads the same. Having control over page description is really needed.

If there is a way to do this in 1.6.x I' sure like to know.

Hi,

please add this as feature request on http://bugs.phpmyfaq.de and we'll add this as soon as possible.

phpMyFAQ 1.6.x is only bugfixing and no more new features.

Hallo,
