Restoring a backup

Hello,

I have a phpMyFAQ database that is giving me troubles. Here is the situation:

I have phpmyfaq 2.6.2 installed on 2gbhosting which I have now switched to fatcow

i did a backup on the phpmyfaq through the console

i then installed phpmyfaq 2.6.2 onto my fatcow server

i used the same mysql username, and database name, the only thing different is that i don't use the same server name, before it was "localhost" and now its
"mydomain.fatcowmysql.com"

so anyway, its not working, i am using internet explorer 8 - dont know if that helps.

oh yeah - it just says "this does not look like a phpmyadmin" backup - i even tried the other "backup problem" post and changing the code in admin/backup.import.php and the code appeared to be changed already?

Hi,

you made a database backup on the console? You cannot use this with the restore tool from phpMyFAQ. You have to use the console for the restore as well.
