RHEL5

Post by cmdel »

I wanted to ask if you support an installation for RHEL5 and PHP5.1.6.
I do realise that this is probably a recurring question, but I want to deploy this in our company and I need to address the IT department's concerns regarding maintainability. Do you provide an rpm for the installation. If not how can I install it on redhat 5?

Cheers,
Christos

Hi,

I can try to provide RPMs for RHEL 5 but you need patched PHP RPMs as well for the support of some PHP extensions required for phpMyFAQ. Is that okay for you? Did you tried the .spec file?

the main problem the IT department are quoting is the PHP rpms. Do you have any idea where/how we can implement these? How someone else is doing this anyway? I don't think I'm familiar with the .spec file.
