Hello,
I've got a question about search results i dont really understand.
If I search for "brief meerdere adressen", it should find the following article:
"Hoe verstuur ik een brief naar meerdere adressen?"
which contains all the 3 words in the title, and also has them all as keywords.
Instead, this article is shown *last* in the results. And for example as a first result i get an article containing the word "meerdere" in some random sentence. ("meerdere" is "multiple" in dutch, quite a common word)
Here's the URL for searching:
http://www.alexion.nl/faq/?search=brief ... ion=search
URL for the targeted article (its on page 2):
http://www.alexion.nl/faq/index.php?act ... e+adressen
URL for the wrong article:
http://www.alexion.nl/faq/index.php?act ... e+adressen
I'm working with:
phpMyFAQ Version
phpMyFAQ 2.5.5
Server Software
Apache
PHP Version
PHP 5.2.14
Database Client Version
5.1.47
Database Server Version
5.1.47-community-log
For a detailed overview, see: http://pastebin.com/LGSz0SUe
Please let me know if this is the correct/default behaviour. And if thats so, is there anything i can do to improve the results?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Search results are offtopic/weird
Thanks for your reply.
I've updated to version 2.6.11 as you suggested. I'm sorry to say the search results are the same. The most "on-topic" result is still shown last in the results page.
In addition to this, the search results are now all posted on 1 big page. For example, when i search for "aa", i get:
57 search results
Pagina 1 van 6 Pages
Meaning 57 results which should be spread out on 6 pages, all on the same page.
URL:
http://alexioncrm.nl/faq/?search=aa&sub ... ion=search
Thanks in advance.

Re: Search results are offtopic/weird
Hi,
you can define the number of results in the admin configuration.
If you search for "aa" you'll get all results with "aa" in it...

Re: Search results are offtopic/weird
Thanks again for your reply.
I've found the option in the admin configuration, but it doesn't work.
I've changed it from the default 10 to 5, and the results page page now says:
57 search results
Pagina1 van 12 Pages
The numbers here are correct (going from 6 pages to now 12 because they are half as long makes sense), but it is still showing one big page with all the 57 results.
URL:

Also, it seems you overlooked my other question in my previous reply:
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
another feedback from me about the search. phpMyFAQ 2.7 will include an once again improved search using the features available from MySQL 5.0 and later because we dropped the MySQL 4 support.
