i also noticed that sometimes where the counter is in the admin panel that it sometimes gets replaced with a drop down menu that says select your language and that it doesnt display the count down timer.....its only done this a few times for me so far it doesnt do it all the time....

Also not to jump a head or anything i wanted to let you know that the export to pdf and export to xml is working for me now with some edits you had made.... i think the problem that FAQs were not showing up when you fixed that problem it also fixed the export one...

oh ok ... i thought it was in the ajax.config_list.php that you fixed the Oauth because i was trying to see if i could test it out and was able to see it.....because i had entered the code that was changed and i wasnt able to see the twitter button the only button i see is the T button when you go to click on a FAQ and want to share it with twitter users but no sign in with twitter....

ok disregard that last message... this is really odd it took me awhile to figure out because it wasnt working in firefox but then i got it to work in both its kind of confuesing ... usually when you create a twitter app you can use example.com/faq for call back url but for this u have to use example.com/faq/services/twitter.com then it still didnt show up so i had to clear my firefox cookies and catch and it finally showed up like 20 minutes later...

i also thought maybe there would be a twitter sign in button on the register page ... maybe in future release of phpmyfaq that will be implemented.... because i have found that alot of users like convience and they dont like to enter there name and email and stuff to register they would just rather use there twitter accounts to register

This is also what i was talking about ... the 2nd image is what it looks like when u click on the dashboard tab and the 1st image is the count down timer.... the count down timer displays when you click on any tab in admin except for when you click on the dashboard tab then it looks like the first image

just thought i would show ya what i was talking about incase it was a bug and wasnt suppose to do that... but if thats the way its suppose to be then disregard this message also....

I have made an updated list of bugs that still exist and bugs that where fixed by you editing the codes.....I have also spent several hours re testing these issues in Firefox 4 and internet Explorer 9 to make sure that the problems were not just in firefox 4 but to make sure they were also in internet explorer 9 and to make sure the problems that were fixed worked correctly in both browsers....

[Updated Bug Report]-3/26/2011

1. Https is not functioning-not sure why but it shows up as nothing being encrypted at login or anywhere And I have even enabled “only allow logins over secure connection.

2. For some reason phpmyfaq is really slow while in admin, when I am at the frontend it runs and switches smoothly, for example when I click on all categories or add a faq, But in the Admin panel it’s almost like it has to refresh when I click on dashboard or configuration because the page goes white then it finally loads the page I’m trying to go to.

3. Keywords and Tags not working correctly -when you input a keyword or tag it says “please separate words by comma” but it starts off and says it 3 times then every time I click back and forth between the tag and keyword box it adds

4. Email function is not working-it will only work if you use your domain names email address

5. Captcha is off centered- in Internet Explorer 9

6. Comments are not visible -on front end or admin side... if I leave a test comment it’s not showing up anywhere.

7.Not able to delete FAQ

8. Theres some kind of bug when it comes to adding and deleting cateogrys it doesnt happen all the time but when i either go to add category or delete category a message will display saying i am not authorized even tho im logged in as admin.

9.Registration is not working- users are not able to register for site

10. when on front end of phpmyfaq and click on category then the FAQ on right side where it has twitter and facebook and allows a user to share a post the window gets resized to a small window instead of staying the same size as the one users have open.

11. Add question is not working-On the Frontend when trying to add a test question it is not working it doesnt show up nor does it show up on the admin side.

Bugs that where Fixed

1. Twitter Support is working

2. The Searching Feature is now working

3. The Add Categories and FAQ and being able to click on them to view and display the answers is now working

4. Captcha displaying correctly in Firefox is fixed but captcha is misaligned in Internet Explorer 9

5. Export Feature to export pdf and xml is now working

6. Statistics in admin panel is now working before it didn’t show anything but now since FAQ are visible its working

7. Language menu is located on top of count down timer-fixed Moved language selector to navigation

The image below is of bug number 3. where if you add tags or keywords it keeps putting extra words saying seperate by comma for example if i add 2 tags then went to add a keyword then forgot i wanted to add another tag and clicked in the tag it will add another seperate by comma so i thought if i showed you an image it would give you a better idea of what i am talking about...
keyword and tags.JPG
The image below is what happens sometimes when i go to delete categorys... what i did to replucate this is i logged into phpmyfaq using firefox then create a category then go over to internet explorer and log in and then go back to firefox and it automatically signs me out because you cant be signed in to 2 different browsers at the same time so after i log back into firefox and try to delete category it tells me im not authorized..

Im not sure if i explained my self clearly anyways in phpmyfaq2.6.1.5 and any preivious one https has worked properly .....The image below is how it should look and it should display either a blue address bar and when you click on it it should say that it is encrypted... however right now it does not have a blue address bar or padlock and it says that this page is not encrypted.

Well i found the problem to the maddness it took me like 2 days to figure it out... i had been trying to see what part of the code is disabling https// and somthing that was added to this phpmyfaq that i didnt see in the previous phpmyfaqs that were released....
The Script was found in 2 area i was able to make https work on the frontend then it wasnt working on the admin end so i had to search for it there also the script can be found in "admin/header.php and template/index.tpl"

Here is the Script

Code: Select all

<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
and here is what i had to do in order to get https working i added an S to it in both files template.index.tpl and admin/header.php so it would end up looking like this.

Code: Select all

<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
But not everyone who is running SSL is going to want to have to try to figure out whats causing it not to work....So I am not sure if there is some sort of workaround for this or not..

and since google allows it i am able to go here https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/j ... ery.min.js to test it out and is working with https. so the script still works

But especially in Internet Explorer it was kind of annoying because it would have a pop up saying this site is not encrypted do you still wish to view then users who visit the FAQ would have to click off of it and then it also worrys user that maybe this site isnt so safe
