NEW INSTALL - Cannot Enter Anything

Post by steverf »

New Install php5x Ver MyFaq 2.7.0
This is a pure install, nothing was changed, edited or added.
EXCEPT the ._htaccess file... I did rename it to .htaccess and added this to the top: AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
This was done to "force" the use of php5 instead of 4.

The install on with MySql went fine ... Everything seems to be ok, however, I cannot do anything...
I CAN login as ADMIN but cannot do anything :
If I click on Catagories, Users, Content, or anything on the admin page...
Even if I click on Configuration - right back to the login page...

I am logged in as the default admin.

When I click on Anything on the admin page, I go right back to the Admin Login Page...

My apologies...I must have missed something in the setup ??

I would appreciate any and all assistance.

Do you get an error message? Could you send a screenshot where you fail?

Jochen,
Thank you for your reply....

After letting the system settle overnight (in US), I logged in again using the same procedure to log in.
VIOLA... Beats me... I did nothing overnight other than log off and shut down of the night.
Today (the next day), I logged in and everything worked... I have NO CLUE other than just maybe the system was confused with my several attempted logins... I did notice that there were 3 guests online at teh time I was trying to log in...There coudl not have been guests...This is a new test install and nothing on the website points to the test area of the FAQ's...

We will see how it goes over ythe next several days.
I appreciate your reply and if I detect the same issue again, I'll send a you a message.

Thank you !
