Roadmap?

Hi Thorsten -

Just curious if you had a ETA on 1.4.0? I'm getting ready to do a new FAQ, and I'm just trying ot consider whether I want to 1.3.11 and manually hack it up for the static pages stuff like I did the last one, or if I want to wait a few weeks (more?) for the new 1.4.0 to be out.

Also will 1.4.0 have that mod_rewrite stuff? If you have any questions you can catch me at nick@cpanelfaq.com, or aim: nickatvsu..I'm glad to help you with any of that sort of stuff.

One feature request, can we have a function/variable to create a link to a random FAQ? and/or to display a random FAQ too? (for this new thing...I'd like to display a randomized FAQ on the main page)

Hi Nick,

there's no roadmap for 1.4 anymore because I have so much to do in real life. 1.4 will be released when it's done.

Your feature request can be easily done by yourself. That's just a quick hack.

Yep..

That's no problem, I'm not trying to hurry you, I just wanted to make sure I didn't hack up another phpmyfaq if I didn't absolutely have too (it's going to make upgrading a much bigger headache)

Anyway, again thanks for it...I'll implement the random FAQ hacks, if anyones interested I'll post it here as a patch.

please submit every hack or patch here. If it is good I'll add everything to the main phpMyFAQ branch.
