Hi,
I am trying to upgrade from 2.6.15 to 2.7.8. I have followed the instructions at http://www.phpmyfaq.de/documentation.2.7.en.php#3c but when I visit my FAQ site, there are no articles to display. The categories on the left are visible, but contain no articles. Searching for any phrase returns no results.
The instructions mention "You have to update a lot of your template files due to our markup change from XHTML 1.0 to HTML5." Is this something I need to do to make the articles visible again? Or is there a database issue?
Many thanks,
Brian

Hi Thorsten,
Can you tell me how I would do that? Sorry, this is my first experience of phpmyfaq and I don't know my way around it yet!

Re: Upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 issues
Hi Thorsten,
Apologies for the delay. I now have access to the admin area, which returns a blank page. I believe the problem with this is in the "get user rights" section, on the line
$allRights = $user->perm->getAllRightsData();
This is in a local testing area. The live version of the admin area displays as expected.
Cheers,
Brian

Hi,
it looks like something broke during the update process. Is it possible to get access to your FAQ and your database? So I can fix it.

Re: Upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 issues
Hi Thorsten,
Thanks for the offer, but the update is being done on a private server so that users aren't affected.
I'll try taking a full copy again and updating it.
Many thanks,
Brian

Hi Thorsten,
Does the upgrade from 2.6.x to 2.7.x involve changes to the database, either the data or the structure?
Many thanks,
Brian

Hi Thorsten,
I've carried out the upgrade again and everything is working. I must have made a mistake first time.
Thanks for all you help,
Brian
