First of all I wanted to thank you all who created this. Is the most complete and amazingly easy to use FAQ/KB web based aplication.
I have had experience installing Joomla, wordpress sites, vtiger, and many more web based CMS/CRMS and I never encounter an issue like this
After the installation which went pretty smooth I noticed that although under the configuration area the wysiwig was enabled, this was not showing under the new FAQ or any other place.
I tried IE, Firefox, Chrome and same result. I also made sure I was logged in as the admin.
Please help thank you so much all in advanced.

Hi,
Currently in version 2.7.9 this feature is only on the backend in the admin panel when adding or editing FAQ and is not on the front end, in the upcoming version 2.8 this will be possible where the Wysiwyg can be enabled for the frontend, but when adding or editing faq in admin you should see the editor, if not let me know

Thank you for the fast reply. You are correct the wysiwyg shows in the back end under the admin account. Please forgive my ignorance as Im new here. How do we go about updating once the stable version is out?
I assume that is under the administration > Dashboard > and then clicking on the button that says "Get latest phpMyFAQ version number by web service but. How do you actually update ?

the update button in phpmyfaq does not acually update you ever to the latest, it basically checks to see if you are up to date if for example if it says you have 2.7.9 and the latest is 2.8 then you will have to go to phpmyfaq.de and download the latest stable package unzip package and copy all the new files over to your server except the config folder, then run the install/update.php script to update your installation, their is an installation/upgrade guide on site http://www.phpmyfaq.de/documentation.2.7.en.php#3d
