Ordering Articles

Hello,

I am very pleased with the advances in category organization functions in version 1.4.1.

Is there any way to arrange the subcategories and articles in a specific way. The ideal way to arrange my FAQ would be to have all topics and articles arranged in the same order as the functions on my web site, which may occasionally change.

For Example, I would like to arrange :

MainTopic1
---SubCategory1
---SubCategory2
---SubCategory3
-------Article1
-------Article2
-------Article3
---SubCategory4

Like This:

MainTopic1
---SubCategory3
-------Article3
-------Article2
-------Article1
---SubCategory4
---SubCategory2
---SubCategory1

Hi,

glad to see that the improved category administration is working quite well now. A function to reorder the records is planned for one of the next versions so please stay tuned.

my test of 1.3.9 to 1.4.1 has the sub categories not in the order that I want them to be after I reorganized them.

I think I can get around this by just creating new categories and moving the faq entries. Depends on how much time this will take..

Hi,

the catgories have to reordered after an update from 1.3 to 1.4. Reorderimng with 1.4.1 should be easy.

it would have been if I wasn't also changing my categories around at the same time

it is my problem. it looks like I will only need to create a few new categories and move some entries into them to get the order I want.

So was the reordering function ever implemented in one of the current releases, or is it being worked on in the current beta? How's the beta going? Any estimate on a release for it yet?

Hi,

the reording of articles will be implemented during the 1.5 phase after the final release of 1.5.0. I think 1.5.0 will be final in march.
