Copyright question

Post by hummon »

Hi thorsten,

I'm a librarian and I'm developing a software for use in libraries. We plan to give several online functionalities including live chat and searchable FAQs. We are thoroughly impressed with your program and would like to include in our software, but first, we want to make several changes including design and functionality.

Now, can we take the link to your site found at bottom of every page. Please do not think we rip off. We'd love to give credit to you in Credits page, a link to which will be available on almost all pages.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

you can remove the credits at the bottom of the page but not my copyright inside the PHP files. As you can read in our documentation about MPL, the only restrictions apply to the copyright, which remains at all times by myself. Any modified versions of phpMyFAQ will also fall under the terms of MPL. Any other program, that may only be accessing certain functions of phpMyFAQ is not affected by these restrictions and may be distributed under any type of license.

bye
