Can I remove localization?

Post by razoraz »

I'm fairly new to PHP.
How can I remove the localization so that only English is used for the app, and users don't see [en] at the end of every category?

Hi,

to remove the other languages, just do this:

- remove the language selection form in template/index.tpl

- disable the automatic language detection in the configuration

- how to remove the [en] just look into this thread: http://www.phpmyfaq.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1458

bye

Thank you.

Where is this automatic language detection? Do you mean the admin config page? I only see "Enable automatic content negotiation"... which I don't understand. Is this it?

Per the 3rd item: I followed the linked instructions, however I still have the [en] showing up in my category dropdown menu on Ask A Question.
I replaced the line that looked like it under printThemes($category)... is that the right one? (functions.php, line 154 in RC1 1.4.5)
