Cannot add any entries!

Post by Nig »

Hi,

I can't seem to find this problem on the board so far. I am using ver 1.4.1.
Whenever I try to add an entry (the first entry in fact, as i've just started using it), I go to either preview or save and receive the message "An error occurred". Nothing else. I'm using Firefox as the browser.

When I click on the back link, all the text is gone, nothing exists. At first I had different colors and links in, then I just used simple plain text and the same thing happened.

Any ideas if I'm doing anything wrong or how to get started on this??

Thanks,

Nig

Hi,

first, you should upgrade to version 1.4.9. This is really an important update!

Do you have any categories?

Hi,

Yes, I have categories. However, the program is hosted(?) by GoDaddy who are offering it as a free addition to their hosting plans.

Presumably, I'll need to get them to update their version?? It is installed automatically by them. I just get to use it.

Thanks,

Nig

Hi,

do you have a title for this FAQ record. This error message pops up when no title of the FAQ record was inserted.

Hi,

By title, do you mean Theme? At the very top of the input page is a box for Theme. I didn't add anything in that, if that's what you're asking.

If it's that simple, I feel dumb!!

But I should still go ahead and get the hosting provider to get the updated version, correct?

Thanks,

Nige

Hi,

yes, I mean "Theme"... I think, this should be better translated! :-)

And yes, you should upgrade.
