Portuguese translation language file problem on 2.6.x – blank pages after edition

First, congratulations for your excellent program (really good, useful and simple).
Unfortunately our first post is about a problem.

We use the phpMyFAQ since mid-2009 for internal test and since October 2009 on the Web.

Web server Interface: APACHE2HANDLER

Problem description

. On the phpMyFAQ’s previous series, we experienced no problems translating the Portuguese language file ( language_pt.php ) – either using the web interface or an editor.
. We upgraded phpMyFAQ to the 2.6.0 version, downgraded to the previous version due to several issues (PHP error messages, …), and then upgraded to the 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 versions.

. On the 2.6.x series, after using the Save button on the translation web interface (even without changes) all pages appears blank (with no HTML code).
The result is the same after using an editor.

. Using the original 2.6.0 English language file and (re)making the translation line by line the result is the same.
. Only the original 2.5.x Portuguese language file and the updated version made by us are working. However some of the translated sentences appear reverted to the English version.

On the attached file ( pt20100200-phpmyfaq-problem-msg-20100204.zip ) you may find the current language file and the version created using the original 2.6.0 English one.

Addendum

Dear Thorsten Rinne

The Portuguese language file based on the English one that was sent is a second version created while trying to resolve the problem.

The “special” characters where converted to HTML entities.
