Most Viewed/Top Rated "x" Items per Category

Post by souji »

Good day! :) Hope somebody can give me some hints on how to do this. :)

I'm thinking of putting a grid on the homepage to list out the top 5 FAQs per category and a "view more" link. The top 5 will be based on either the number of views or the highest rated items. :) The "view more" leads to the default category pages.

It's like having many "Most Popular FAQs" but filtered by different categories. :)

Maybe this might help in visualizing the format:

Any tips will be much appreciated!

Thanks for the tip! I tried searching the board for other related topics. This is the closest one to my question.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2374

I tried tracking the changes, but it seems they're no longer applicable given the new version. :(
Is there a way to add a category filter to an RSS feed? Like passing the category value in the url? (example: ?cat=2)
