Captcha text not showing?

Sorry to have asked so many questions over such a short period, but hopefully this is the last one.

Basically, the captcha text does not display on any form. All I get is a missing image icon. I'm pretty sure it was working, so I am unsure why it has stopped. Any ideas?

I wonder whether I messed something up when I was playing around in the various templates and files. I'm pretty careful through, so it seems unlikely.

Are there any key files that could have caused this? If so, I might try re-uploading them from scratch.

No errors...

However, I am running in Safe Mode, if that helps.

I worked it out. I had modified the language pack (en) and this was causing the problems. All fixed.
