New to Phpmyfaq and have a question

Post by CodyDan »

Hello,

Being New to Phpmyfaq and I have few questions and will start with this first. I have been following the progress of the script for quite sometime and like the overall product. Have installed and played around with 2.6.17 and the most recent beta 2.7x versions. The downloads I have are primarily in English format except:

the file names artikel.php and artikel.tpl

this is not correct for the English language and when it comes to renaming to "article" (which is what I imagine the file is referring to) I see that artikel is in the script code also. I would amend all instances but don't want to have issues when it comes to upgrades. In not wanting to confuse users on the names or possibly search engine results about the naming of files and before I proceed in usage of your script.

Could someone please explain the naming of these files?

This is my only hangup at this time in moving forward with applying your script to my applications.

Thank you
CodyDan

Hi,

we started phpMyFAQ back in 2001 in German only and this is a "relict" from these old days. It's just the German word for article.

Hi
It's just the German word for article.
Thanks for the reply. That much was easy enough to figure out.

Is there any chance that in further releases this will be updated to English?
Not sure my users are going to remember to type in www domain com/artikel when they want to browse to the article. I know it seems silly but is the only thing keeping me from using the script at this point and don't see any reason why it would not be easily accomplished by the development team once with just a few minutes of your time for all future English versions, being the release is in English.

Thank you for your time.
Cheers!
