install error when using postgresql as database

hello
i trying to install phpmyfaq 2.8.9 on apache server and using postgresql as database. I already installed phpmyfaq using MySQL for database and it's workng , the problem is when i tried to install phpmyfaq using postgresql as database, there is message like this :

"The connection to the database server could not be established."
"The error message of the database server:"

the error message didn't showed , i don't know what's wrong.

Kindly Regards, sorry for my english though.
