RSS notifications very slow

Hello,

We are using myFAQ v. 2.8.7
Apparently, RSS – Notifications are very slow to be send.
Only if the user manually reloads his Outlook they will appear ?! Can this be changed to an direct send or do you know how we could improve it?

first, please upgrade to 2.8.18.

Is the rest of the site slow as well?
