Replacement of the image verification

Hiya guys

Firstly I need to say that this thing is pretty great! I will be using this at a site with almost 20000 members and a lot of newbs asking questions so this should solve us a lot of time. Limited beta testing turned up no problems but one. A lot of members (especially but not limited to elderly or visually impaired) have huge problems figuring out the letters and numbers in the image verification. Is there any way these could be replaced with a more readable system? I reckon I could also take it out but due to a large amount of trolls waiting for their chance it's not really an option in my case.
