Add Tiles to Main Page

Greetings all,

I am full of questions today, please excuse my excitement

Instead of having the 'News' on the main page, can I place some icons and link them to popular categories? I might have 4 main and sub categories I like to showcase on the main page, it would be great to add some graphics and links.

Hi,

you can use just plain HTML in the main.tpl file to add tiles.
