Undefined index error

I just install phpmyfaq 1.6.11 on my server and I am getting a "undefined index" notice on most of the pages. One the front page (i.e. /index.php) I get the following at the top of the page in my browser.

Notice: Undefined index: charset in /var/www/html/support.douloscorp.com/index.php on line 213

Notice: Undefined index: charset in /var/www/html/support.douloscorp.com/index.php on line 214

On the startpage of the admin area I get the following under the "System Information" Header

In all of these cases this seems to be associated with a variable $PMF_LANG in the php files.

Any help with this would be appreciated

OS = REHL 4.4.x
Server = Apache 2.0.52
PHP 4.3.9
MySQL 4.1.20
register globals = off
safe mode = off

please update to 1.6.12, it's fixed in that version.
