Related entries in wrong language

Hi,

The related entries are showing up in french even when I am looking at the english faqs. I sometime see english related entries but rarely.

I guess it is a bug? Because I thought it should only list related entries in the selected language?

Ok it seems that I see more english related entries now.. (when viewing in english)

But I still have french related entries when viewing the english faqs...

So maybe it's a temporary glitch with my browser or database?

What is the mechanism to find the related entries?

it's just a fulltext search with the keywords in the backend.

It does not consider the language?

If I have keywords (and text in the article) that is the same in french and english like "contact" or "modification", an english faq might be listed in the related entries for a faq in french?

I had to look in the code... it's searching in all languages.

Do you want only related entries from the same language?

I think it would be better.

Also I noticed that when I click on a related entries for which the title is shown in french (when I am browsing the english faq), it does open the faq in english.

So it looks like the problem I have is related to the displayed title only... It should always display the title of the related entries in the language we are in (imo).

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is something being considered, e.g. showing related entries in the selected language only...

But in the meantime, can I (meaning my dev team) modify some files to achieve this?

If yes, would it be possible to know in which files we should take a look?

I do understand that this may be too much trouble so don't worry if it is not possible for you to provide this info.
