I'm using 1.4.4. I've found that even when I set the login cookie, I can have my session expire while I'm typing in a FAQ. Is there a way to not have the admin's time out? I saw in an earlier post that this may work
faq/inc/config.php. Change $ipcheck = "true"; to $ipcheck = "";
I certainly hope I used update.php. I believe I made the hand-config change after I got to 1.4.4, though. I haven't tried 1.4.5 yet. Do you know offhand what bugs got fixed for that version?
ah. I know I ran update.php for 1.4.4, and I'd be really surprised if I didn't run it for earlier versions, too. Is there a specific table, table structure, or data in a table you're looking for? I'm happy to provide it.
I have plenty of usr columns, and no user columns. So I don't think that's it. Logging in to the admin part works great, and the cookie gets me passed the first login screen, it's just that my session times out. It's only really annoying when I'm editing a faq and lose the work. My current work-around is to save more often.
I logged in (using the cookie) deleted all my cookies for the website. It logged me off. I logged in again, it set the cookie. After a while I got logged off again. Oh, I'm using Firefox 1.0 on linux. What browser are you testing with?
Not a problem. I turned debugging on, logged in to the admin side, set the cookie, waited a while, hit the startpage againt, then was logged out. Here's the debug:
